This is the most commonly used and lowest costing type of strainer for permanent applications. Suitable for both horizontal as well as vertical piping.

Temporary strainers are designed for short periods of operation, i.e. during commissioning and startup periods of new and reconditioned processes. After a certain period of operation these temporary strainers will be replaced by permanent or fine strainers.
