Working principles on-line multiphase metering:
Gas Void Fractions upto 100%, flowprofiles, varying amounts of salinities and sands/solids and the maintenance of nucleair sensors are often experienced as difficult for the determination of the gas, water/condensate and oil cut. The unique multiphase measurements of AGAR is up till now the only measurement in the market which can determine gas void fractions till 99,9% in combination with 0-100% water. These online measurements also don’t have problems with varying salinities or maintenance on a nuclear device by using an unique microwave absorption technology. As the newest multiphase meter of AGAR also doesn’t have a positive displacement meter anymore, the influences of sand on the maintenance requirements are eliminated.
Simple said will the gas present be separated from the liquid by a specially designed separator in combination with a cyclone filter. The next step is the separate measurement of the gas stream with a vortex meter and the liquid stream with a venturi. The watercut of the liquid stream is measured with an OW meter (link). The combined stream is than measured with a wet gas suitable venturi.
