StocExpo Europe: KPS at stand 88

KPS today announced its participation in this year’s
StocExpo Conference and Exhibition in Antwerp,
Belgium. From March 30th to April 1st, 2010.
The international oil/water solution providing
company will inform visitors at stand 88
of the latest developments related to Oil/Water
analyses, automatic sampling, in-line blending
and filtration. KPS will also demonstrate the best
practices for tank dewatering and how to minimize
on oil losses.

Tank Dewatering

Manual or other traditional ways of controlling
the water draw-off can result in free
Hydrocarbon product in the discharge.
The loss of this free Hydrocarbon product
means less product available for sale and
increases the cost of wastewater treatment.
Additionally, environmental regulation trends
may impose large economic penalties for
designing water draw conveyance and
treatment systems that allow free product
in the water draw-off discharge. The difficulty in
this separation process is typically the presence of
emulsion layers e.g. Hydrocarbon/water mixtures.
The Agar systems provide however an unmatched
ability to optimize for this separation process by
utilizing concentration measurementand control.

Oil/Water Analyses

KPS Jetmix sampling system gained an ‘A’ rating,
to determine the amount of water in crude
according to the highest achievable accuracy
standards. The KPS Jetmix system is the most
accurate sampling system for custody transfer
applications in 8” up to 52” pipes.
The patented Jetmix loop ensures a homogeneous
flow at all times, while a BS&W analyser
analyses or a cell sampler extracts a sample
from the pipeline flow proportionally.

the minimization of oil losses.

December 2009:

Gasunie signs 5-year Contract with KPS for Filter equipment. It started with a large selection process. Apart from the usual technical standards, operations safety, reliability and more specific pressure drop were the most important criteria. The delivery of all the dust filters is part of a large renovation project including 74 measurement & control stations. For these measurement & control stations, the dust filters play a major role. The filters can prevent severe damage of expensive equipment further downstream. Furthermore, hazardous situations can be prevented such as overpressures due to e.g. clocking.

Erik Verloop, sales engineer at KPS: “We are very proud to include Gasunie to our customer base. Gasunie pursuits to have the highest standards when it comes to safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability. Together with our factory, Barton Firtop in the UK, we offer a unique solution for the filtration of petrochemical gasses and liquids.”

Kimman Process Solutions B.V. (KPS) was founded in 1996 and is based in Rhoon. The firm is a strong growing, customer focused, innovative company, which mainly focuses upon the petrochemical, offshore, chemical, and marine industries.

October 2008: TEAM Terminal B. V. installs KPS Jetmix sampling system

TEAM Terminal has installed the KPS Jetmix sampling system, with ‘A’ rating, to determine the amount of water in crude even more accurate. The KPS Jetmix system is the most acurate sampling system for custody transfer applications in 8” up to 52” pipes. Apart from the wide operating envelope, this sampling system was designed to function bi-directionally according to the highest safety and quality requirements.
The patented Jetmix loop ensures a homogeneous flow at al times, while the Jiskoot cell sampler extracts a sample from the pipeline flow proportionally.
